Monthly Sharing Workshops! Baby Wearing, Knitting, and More to Come!Posted: January 15, 2015
We’re a little late in publishing this information to our site, but we are so excited to announce that we are now beginning to host monthly skill sharing workshops at the McElroy House!
With our partnership with ARVAC in full swing we are now working to get our parking lot built and open up officially. Until then we’re opening up on a limited basis for these fun workshops. Last month we hosted our first one, a baby wearing workshop with Alexandra Young who makes her own baby slings. We’ve had requests for a repeat of this workshop, so we’ll be hosting that in February or March.
This month we’re hosting a knitting and crocheting skill sharing workshop. Thanks to a generous donation of yarn, we have plenty of materials on hand for people to get started. If you’re a crocheter who wants to learn knitting or a knitter who wants to learn crocheting or someone who knows neither, come on over and check it out. This is very informal and kids are welcome. We’ll have plenty of yarn on hand, but bring your own crochet hook or knitting needles.
From here on out we’ll do a better job of keeping up with posting these workshops on our page. But be sure and follow us on Fb here to keep up to date as well!
We’d love to hear your ideas for upcoming workshops. Contact Meredith at 479-957-0551!
