A big part of our work at the McElroy House organization is understanding more about local history. To that end we’ve been writing entries about area communities for the Encyclopedia of Arkansas History and Culture.

Recent published entries have included Sulphur Springs (Yell County) and Chickalah (Yell County).

We’ve got more in the works including one on ARVAC (Arkansas River Valley Area Congress) and one on the Sulphur Springs Cemetery.

Would you like to take part in this research? We’d love for you to join us in writing these entries! Click on the “Contact Us” link to let us know you’re interested.
